Deputy Commissioner Swat Inspects Health Facilities under District Service Delivery Program

Deputy Commissioner Swat, Mr. Saleem Jan Marwat, visited Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Barikot, Civil Dispensary Nowekalay Barikot, Civil Dispensary Amankot, and the Basic Health Unit (BHU) Maniar, as well as the Veterinary Hospital Barikot, in line with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government’s “District Service Delivery Program” to ensure effective and timely provision of healthcare facilities to the public.

During the visits, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the healthcare services being provided to patients and the general public, resolved several issues on the spot, and issued necessary instructions to the concerned authorities for addressing long-standing problems.

At Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Barikot, the Medical Superintendent briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the existing facilities and arrangements, while also taking him around various hospital departments. The Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction over patient care, medicine availability, and staff attendance, but also pointed out certain issues for which immediate directions were issued.

Similarly, during visits to Civil Dispensary Nawekalay Barikot and Civil Dispensary Amankot, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the availability of medicines, patient registration processes, and sanitation arrangements. Some issues were addressed on the spot, while officials were directed to take swift action to resolve public complaints.

At the Basic Health Unit Manyar, the Deputy Commissioner examined the performance of doctors and medical staff, availability of essential medicines, and emergency services. He directed the administration to take urgent measures to further improve facilities in the public interest.

On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed that providing quality healthcare to the people is the top priority of the district administration, and all available resources are being utilized to achieve this goal.
